Louisiana is about two things:
Shrimp and petroleum of course! That’s why every year for the past 72 years Morgan City Louisiana has hosted the Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival. The event happens this weekend and promises to be “an event that will prove that oil and water really do mix”. Time Magazine calls it “one of the best, most unusual, the most down-home, the most moving and the most fun the Country has to offer”. While the concept seems a bit odd, the festival helps celebrate the two industries that share the Gulf and provide economic vitality to the region. the I hope I get as chance to check it out!
